Turning to your question about the hospital in Brazil We are continually looking to grow our network of participating hospitals and clinics and we welcome suggestions from our customers, particularly if they have had a positive experience of their local healthcare facility, as we care about the standard of care and service our customers receive.
We will review your recommendation and consider adding the facility to our network. If you want to check our up to date list of participating hospitals you will be able to see this on our Membersworld site at www.bupa-intl.com/membersworld
While we do encourage our customers to use our network of providers for daycase and inpatient treatment, you can select a recognised medical practitioner of your choice however if they are not in our network we may not be able to arrange direct settlement of your invoices.
To help make the most of your cover we would prefer you to contact us before treatment takes place so we can manage your care, and work directly with the hospital or clinic to provide a guarantee of payment and arrange direct settlement wherever possible.
If you need medical treatment we would strongly recommend that you contact us to confirm the cover for you this will provide you with peace of mind that you treatment will be covered by us. We will need to know the following when you call to confirm cover
- What are your symptoms?
- Admission date
- Name of treating Consultant
- What treatment/procedure is required
- How long will your stay in hospital be
- Name of hospital treatment will take place
We do not cover travelling expenses to the hospital under any of our plans
